Photo: David Mark’s Expensive Gift To 2Face Idibia In Dubai

Senate President, presented an expensive gift to African Queen crooner, 2Face Innocent Idibia at his wedding held on Saturday in Dubai. 2Face, who also hails from David Mark’s tribe, the Idoma tribe in Benue State, was reportedly excited getting such from the number three citizen of Nigeria.

During his traditional wedding in Akwa-Ibom held about two weeks ago, the state governor of his wife, Annie Macaulay, Godswill Akpabio, reportedly presented two SUVs to the couple promising to sponsor 29 couples to the Dubai wedding.
This generated heated arguments in the polity. An SUV was reportedly hurriedly presented to Annie to forestall any attempt of 2Face rejecting the gifts due to the controversies.
2Face and Annie held their white wedding in Dubai on Saturday with their daughter, Isabella in attendance.

Nigerian Comedians Lack Creativity – Basketmouth

Frontline comedian and TV host, Bright Okpocha popularly called Basketmouth, has accused many of his colleagues in the Nigerian industry of laziness and lack of creativity in their jokes.

Basketmouth who accused some of his colleagues of not devoting their time to writing new materials but keep on recycling old jokes said, “Unlike our colleagues abroad who take time to write new materials or engage writers to pen jokes for their shows, Nigerian comedians seem to focus more on the production aspect of their art at the expense of producing new materials for their shows.

While differentiating between comedy and music, he said, “This has really affected standards. Unlike in the music industry where a singer can release a track, perform the song at every show, yet fans will dance and celebrate him, comedy is not like that.

“Trust me, once you repeat a joke in more than three shows or any of your colleagues perform same, the fans will be turned off. That means for every show, a comedian needs fresh jokes,” he stressed.
